Each family is required to provide one parent volunteer. The degree to which the parent volunteer must participate varies according to student grade level enrollments. All parent volunteers must agree to uphold Judeo-Christian principles, honor the FBCC Statements of Faith, support the mission of CDA, abide by and hold CDA Policies (including the Dress Code), and have a current background check on file.
Pre-K to 4th Grade Enrollments
A parent representative from each family with a student enrolled in pre-kindergarten through 4th grade courses is required to remain on campus to volunteer in a classroom or wherever needed while their child is on campus.
5th to 12th Grade Enrollments
Families with students enrolled in 5th through 12th grade courses are not required to remain on campus but must agree to provide one parent representative to volunteer for two 3-hour blocks of time as parent volunteer to serve as study hall monitor, hall monitor, or as needed. This parental contribution helps make study hall a viable amenity for this age group. In lieu of providing a parent volunteer, a family may instead pay an opt-out fee of $30 per time block to help cover this need. This is the only parent volunteer instance where an opt-out option is available.
Nursery Children
Parent volunteers of nursery children (ages 6 weeks through 2 years) will be required to serve in the nursery on a rotational basis. The nursery option is provided as a co-operative courtesy for teachers and parent volunteers. Each parent is required to bring the necessary supplies for his/her child (i.e., diapers, wipes, bottles, food, clothes, portable crib, swing, walker, etc.).
Nursery Hours: 8:30am – 11:30am & 12:30pm – 3:30pm.
